Advocacy Application

Texas Youth and Government is excited to introduce a new Advocacy Program, a five-session virtual series designed to empower high school students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective advocates for change in their communities.

Applications Open: March 15th, 2025 at 10am
Applications Close: April 3rd, 2025 at 11:59pm

No exceptions will be made to this deadline.

Qualifications:

✅ Grade Level: Open to 9th-11th grade students
✅ Interest in Advocacy: Must be passionate about becoming a youth advocate within your community
✅ Commitment: Must be able to attend five scheduled Zoom sessions (with possible additional ones as needed)
✅ Engagement: Willingness to actively participate in discussions, collaborate with peers, and seek mentorship
✅ Project Implementation: Must be prepared to take action on their advocacy project beyond the program
