I.E does your school serve a high percentage of low-income students?

Give it your best guess, it doesn't have to be an exact number!
Club Officer/Leaders
We encourage students to take up leadership roles within their local clubs such as club president, club treasurer, etc. to help fellow delegates register, practice, etc.

This is NOT a requirement by any means, just an opportunity for students to step in to more local leadership positions during their time with the program and grow as delegates. Leadership training will be offered to those students named in the section below at the beginning of the program year.

Adult to Teen Ratio
YMCA Ratio Requirements

YMCA Texas Youth and Government requires a minimum supervision ratio of 1 adult for every 10 teens for all events and overnight travel.

This means:
At least 1 adults for up to 10 teens
At least 2 adults for up to 20 teens, and so on

Depending on your total number of participants, you may be required to bring additional adults to meet this ratio. Please plan accordingly and be prepared to recruit support from parent volunteers, school administrators, or educators if needed.

As a best practice, it is recommended that chaperones include representation of each gender to support all participants effectively.
